The Foundation has a small office in Exmouth, staffed on a part-time basis. All applications are scrutinised for eligibility and those that fit the criteria are listed for the monthly Advisory Committee meeting. It has about 10 members drawn from a variety of backgrounds, including those with experience of working with the disabled and disadvantaged.

The applications are prioritised into five categories based on degree of need and urgency. If the committee’s available resources for the month are insufficient to meet all applications, then some of those in lower categories may be turned down.

The management of the charity is the responsibility of four Trustees who sit with the Advisory Committee but also meet separately with the Charity’s professional investment advisors to consider policy.
